This is supposed to be an obvious, obvious thing. THEY HAVE TO BE DRAGONS ZOMG OF COURSE. But, as I lean towards a more realer side, I will tell you that I am similar to many book characters and rather enjoy being a little book twin. It is a funny little nice thing. You might not know it now, but, putting looks aside, I dare say I look like 1) an avid milkshake devourer and 2) a bookworm and 3) a number of book characters I will now tell you about.
Top Five Wednesday is hosted by Lainey at Gingerreadslainey over on Youtube. I suggest you watch either her or Superwoman. Both are amazing, so I want to promote both of their bookish and non bookish youtube business. You just have to link back to her and follow the corresponding prompt. The end.
1. Hermione Granger
Who doesn’t love Hermione Granger? And I’m definitely not falsely telling you I like her so you think I desire to be precocious and brave and intelligent like her–I already am half of those things! I’m definitely precocious and intelligent and very clever, and I am not trying to boast in anyway, but I am not brave. I am intelligent, any writer is intelligent. There is a different between smarts and intelligence and intelligence is the ability to creatively perceive or use our smarts.
Also, we all read books and cannot do without them, so I’m sure that we are all very precocious and definitely intelligent. However, I am certainly, definitely not brave. I am not cowardly either, though. I would never volunteer first if my family was going cliff diving, no matter how simple or light it is. But I can be brave if the situation called for it, like if my sister was in peril or something. I’d definitely be willing to save her from whatever daunting force holds her captive. I suppose I am like Hermione, because I am brave when I need to be.
2. Inej Ghafa
I love Inej. Inej Ghafa is worthy of idolization or perhaps a well sculpted statue in the White House garden that all the birds can poop on. Inej is definitely like me because my thoughts are very similar to hers. She is definitely elusive and sneaky, and let me tell you, I’ve done several not good things in my life. Stealing chocolate from the pantry when I was little, amongst other things. I suppose I am rather kind, but I can be vicious and if taekwondo weapons elite team and sparring elite team has taught me anything, it’s that I can be very tough and ferocious. Also, I am good with a staff. And nunchucks. And a helmet. And also a golf club, but let’s not talk about that.
3. Helen Gansey
Helen Gansey!!! I’m so definitely like Helen Gansey. I’m so definitely like a big, bossy sister. I’m so definitely close to my sister like Helen is with Gansey. I’m also vicious and I have claws and sometimes I terrify my little sister like when I try to throw my laptop off of the side of the railing because my stupid brain is not being capable of writing. Also when I try to bash my head against the wall because a nonexistent being died. That is such an oxymoron. I’m also protective and caring of my little sister, like Helen. And I do things for my sister like Helen. Except for I never flew a helicopter for my sister’s nonexistent quest to find a dead King.
4. Annabeth Chase
Oh my. How’d you ever think I wouldn’t go without mentioning dear Annabeth? You knew I’d mention her because she’s perfectly well-rounded, strong, and vicious, and dead smart. I am dead smart, and clever, too. Smart, especially, because I suppose that mathematics isn’t the only constituent of smarts (though I’m good at that), it’s the easy, normal excelling for one in something. And I can believe several people have the capability to be smart, but they don’t follow through with it.
But. Annabeth is also very strong, and fast, and amazing at war. I am not amazing at war. I am, indeed, smart and clever and every other brainy term you and your little dragon thing come up with together. Also, I’m watching Percy Jackson and the Lightning Bolt right now and I want to scream because I love it so much. Annabeth is also skilled at fighting, and I am very skilled at fighting too. I am also skilled with only a few weapons, but no where like Annabeth. Probably because I have not been to Camp Half Blood yet, but Annabeth is the person who I am like and who I totally want to be.
5. Kestrel Trajan
Kestrel from the Winner’s Curse, anyone? I believe that I am like her very much because in war, I don’t think I’d suffice on the battlefield. My talents would be wasted, I don’t like killing people, and I’d be too soft. I’d also get very anxious and probably ruin everything for me and a couple other select armed lemons. And, I bet you any day, if I was to be found, in a parallel universe, in the military or warfare department, I would be working so thoroughly on war strategies. I am incredible with strategy and my mind is sleek, like Kestrel’s. Like a bird’s. I am strategic, and capable, and durable, and I haven’t yet put my survival skills to test but we’ll see about my outcome then when I vacation for a week later in the summer without any books. I am also determined, like Kestrel. Well, I am lazy too, so I suppose the two cancel each other out, but a kind person can be mean, and vice versa, so never trust algebra in these situations. Trust only birds and warfare strategies. Also I like the word ‘warfare’.
