Infinity Dreams Award #3 || Spiraling Through Never-Ending Black Holes Of Me-Spotlighting And Dragons || Awesomeness

Alright, so I’ve had this ultimate revelation where I discovered that I am a dragon. Well, actually I’m a Shadowhunter. But I have claws and fangs and I can hiss, scratch, and scar. I’m just missing the scales and the tail! And I so wish I was a Shadowhunter. I’ve finished Clockwork Prince now and I feel so awful for Will. Heck, he realizes that the curse is not valid and he’s so happy but then Tessa. Oh my god Tessa. I do not like crying when I read books, no matter how upset I am, but this one got to me. I AM SO DREADFULLY DYING INSIDE. Tessa. I will get you, darling. Get you and hurt you for hurting Will after a dreadful 5 freaking years of that curse.

I was nominated for this award by Gideon Lightwood. Ha ha I wish. No, though he’s lovely, I don’t yet know if I like him with Sophie so much. Sophie is quite incredible, isn’t she, a girl scarred for life who can still find love? Alright, I’m joking. I was nominated by Ronyell over at Rabbit Ears Productions. So THANKS, cuz! That blog is super fun. Plus, it’s on fleekOn fleek, on fleek, on fleek. I am so on fire.

  • What are your favorite genres for books?

This is very, very obvious. So I’ve been keeping a log of all the books I’ve been reading since early September 2015, and the log involves me listing the genre, title, and blah blah more information. AND I MUST READ MORE YA CONTEMPORARY IT’S QUITE BEAUTIFUL AND MY HUMONGOUS DRAGON NOSE LOVES THE SMELL OF THEM IT’S SO PERFECT AND ASKDKDHFL.

I love a good fantasy book. It’s always my go-to. I think it’s because, while I’ve always wanted to write books and loved books, the series that really pushed me into high-level MG and YA was the Harry Potter series. And I remember, as a child, reading books about magic and fairies and mermaids and collecting them and always hampering my mum to buy me more to read. So I guess, ever since I was little, that fantasy’s been my thing. That’s all well, because I believe in magic. Maybe not in this world, or in this life, but anywhere else in the universe. It must exist.

Another awesome series that I love a good book from is sci-fi. I love reading about all these tech revelations, with science, and dystopian settings, and futuristic elements, and all these ideas of a completely new society, never matter whether it is Bookzillan or not. And ALIENS! I believe they exist somewhere, so it’s always a lovely book if it’s all futuristic and alien-y and has lots of gory, bloody deaths. It is quite entertaining to read, as, I’m sure you all have as well, thought about the future and the world past your life. I have too. Which is why I love sci-fi so much. It is a great way to imagine, discover, and mentally conceive and develop thoughts and predictions about the future.

  • What book did you hated?

What book did I hate? Erm. I’m really easy to please, you’ll find. I care a lot more about the story than I do about all these writing elements. They just make it complicated. Often, I don’t ever read books that I didn’t discover by hype and recommendation. Hey, when I wander around the library, I’m not looking for this five-star perfectly plotted, angelic character, flawless writing-book. I’m just looking for a good book, a good story. But VITRO by Jessica Khoury. I’m sorry lady, forget your whole idea. This book was awful and she must leave the idea at once. And I would never recommend it. Just no.

  • What do you drink or eat while you read?

I don’t really eat anything. Maybe I have some tea, or water, or even, if I’m feeling particularly needy, a cup of nice, warm milk. But usually, I snack first and read later. Unless I’m having some chocolate-covered almonds. I should never wait to eat something that yummy.

  • What book you loved that is really underrated?

Again, I have to say the Scorch Trials. I’m sorry. I really liked it, along with the rest of the Mazerunner books, and I don’t get why people don’t like it! They’re really awesome stories. It’s totally worth like a kajillion billion holds in the library.

  • What movies did you like better than the books?

Movies I liked better than the books, or movies that I’ve watched that are based off a book I haven’t read yet or have no intention of reading? 😀 Heh, I’ll go with Mockingjay Part 1. The first part of the book itself was dreadfully boring, and atleast seeing the propos play out in person was slightly more entertaining.

  • When did you started blogging?

I started actively, so actually, blogging in August of 2015. Still got a long way to go on the journey. Let’s see how long I keep up this blog…

  • What books would you like to see become a movie?

Sanctum fumat! Deos, I’ve got a humongous list mostly because I want to see bae (tenfold) on the big screen. I’ll give you two. THE INFERNAL DEVICES HOLY HECK CLOCKWORK ANGEL, and, deos, LEGEND. I must see Day. And they must have put him up there properly. If they didn’t choose the right person, then they are quite the dullard, and also I will go up there myself to their filming studio and show them a bit of my fist. Show me a proper Day. For Day is life, and he is my light, and you’d better make him look it.

God, Will is hot. That’s why he’s bae, isn’t it?

  • What’s your favorite current TV series?

I’ve got three, okay? HAWAII FIVE O. And the ultimatum, CAKE BOSS for deos-loved cakes and other gargantuan yummy stuff. And also, Cupcake Wars. Because Florian is harsh and cupcakes are yummy. Except for when bakers have to put weird stuff in them. Oh, deus knows I would want to be a judge. YUMMY FOOD.

  • Have you ever been tagged for a book tag?

Yes, of course, have you?

  • What movies are you looking forward to in 2016?

FREAKING ALLEGIANT AND GODS OF EGYPT. Sanctum fumat, I am dying inside waiting.

  • Name one fact about yourself.

And this is totally a question!! I’m joking, let’s see, a fact about me: I love public speaking and am good it. Frankly, had it been an opinion about me, I’d have said, deus knows Selena Gomez needs to quit writing songs about her heartbreak. Everyone’s so tired and sick of her still being hellbent over Jelena. GET OVER IT.

Everyone who’s read the Infernal Devices! And you, if you wish to do it! And all Shadowhunters!

Everyone I would like to have nominated has already done this before, but if you would like to do this yourself then go ahead, and leave me a link! And if you’ve read the Infernal Devices and love Will to hell and back, then you are more than welcome. And fellow Shadowhunters, consider this a direct nomination!

Screen Shot 2015-12-31 at 2.27.38 PM

Alright! Wow, that was fun. I’ll not be doing a Top Ten today because I don’t have many choices for that–I’ve read 99.99 percent of the books I meant to read in 2015, so overall, it was a successful year for me! Ask Goodreads, or Google. OR HOGWARTS. Sanctum fumat, I’ve really got you all finally knowing I’m a Shadowhunter and a witch and of course, I’ve revealed to you my father is Poseidon. Oh, deos. Ha, listen to that, Perce.

Have you done this tag? are you going to? if you have, leave me a link! has everybody gotten out from their breaks? what is one memorable thing/book/experience of your 2015? and Will or Jem? I don’t know who Tessa ends up with, but I can practically feel the book building up for heartbreak.

The Sunshine Blogger Award

Hello! I’m brining to you the Sunshine Blogger Award because I am an Erudite and I appreciate irony, and here up in the Northern hemisphere it is like, 35 degrees Fahrenheit. Brr. Chilly. So in the extreme welcome to my wit, let’s do this award and sparkle and possibly radiate some heat across millions of miles of black matter to reach another planet. And why so ever would I be talking about the sun?

Screen Shot 2016-01-02 at 3.53.51 PM

I was nominated to do this by the loveliest of all lovelies, Jane Eyre! No, actually. That’s quite a joke. I live in more of the 21st century. I was nominated by an equally lovely gal, Jenna from Reading With Jenna || Book Blog. Go check out the blog and smile.

  1. Answer the 11 questions from the blogger who nominated you.
  2. Nominate some wonderful bloggers and write 11 questions for them to answer.

Screen Shot 2015-12-31 at 2.27.38 PM

Just to let you know, I’m super excited to do these questions because they are the coolest of cool.

1. If you had to choose between never reading your favourite book again or never eating your favourite food again, which would you give up?

Never eating my favorite food again. Duh. This ranges from all the varieties of chocolates there can ever be. Hence I will stop eating all chocolates, for I can always have vanilla and butter and lemon cakes and ice creams and such. And besides, did anyone ever expect me to actually never read Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince again. You’re kidding yourself. And you’re delusional. Seriously.

2. Imagine there’s a massive spider next to you and the only way you could kill it was to hit it with your beautiful, signed and personalised copy of your favourite book. Would you do it, even if it means getting spider guts all over your book?

Absolutely not! One, I wouldn’t ruin the precious book as the Half Blood Prince is SIGNED by J.K. Rowling (theoretically) and therefore I will never get spider guts on my book. The massive spider may not be incredibly welcome to crawl all over me, but I will name it Aragog and then run for my life. Bugs are scary. Especially 8-legged ones. And don’t tell me I can’t run fast enough. I can scale a 9-minute mile. Heck, an 8-minute one. Fine. I know that’s a petty mile time.

3. What is your patronus?

ERMAGERD. THIS IS BEAUTY, IN AND OUT. My patronus is a horse. It must be the obviousest thing ever. I am a daughter of Poseidon, and the sacred animal of Poseidon is a horse, hence my patronus is a horse. Just ask my brother Percy, he’ll tell you. He’ll also make a point that he traveled from hell and back and fought Kronos and Gaea and emerged successful, and try to steal my patronus, but tell him his patronus is a skunk. Oh, Percy. My brother never did smell amazing, you see.

4. What is your favourite book of all time and would you want it to be adapted to film or TV? If there’s already an adaptation, what do you think of it?

The Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince film adaption? It copies the book to a tack. Might I cry. It’s so beautiful; it’s a work of art. And that’s why the majority of my profile photos are of moi holding a copy of that book. Nothing beats it. And I can watch the movie a billion times and still be entertained on the one billion and one time. So yes, I love it.

5. If you were given the chance to attend Hogwarts, but had to kill your favourite Harry Potter character in order to attend, would you do it?

Can I say my favorite Harry Potter character(s) are Crabbe and Goyle and kill them. Ug, fine. That would be the lie of the century. My favorite characters are Hermione and Draco. Well, I have a very lifelike crush on Draco. But, do I HAVE to kill them? Or can I simply ATTEMPT to kill them? Ron will fight me to his last breath if I killed Hermione, but she is my idol. So would I kill my idol to go to Hogwarts? Of course I would. Granted, I’m a Gryffindor, but all Gryffindors have a touch of Slytherin in them. Plus, I’m maddeningly selfish. I am, I’m sorry. It’s a human thing.

6. What is your favourite book that is set in Australia? If you haven’t read one, which one would you like to read?
Click here to check out the Goodreads feed!

Oh, god. This sounds so downright good. Read the overview and tell me if you don’t want to read it right now. If you say so, you are lying.

7. If you could only eat one dessert item for the rest of your life, what would you choose? Pictures please?

Oh, my god, this is so easy to say. BELGIAN CHOCOLATE SOUFFLE. AND BUTTER CAKE. Count this an exception. Just two and no more. For I love these until the death of me. See and be awed and deliriously hungry.

Belgian Chocolate Souffle
Honestly, this is what life is for. THIS IS SO YUMMY I WANT TO CRY. AKA Butter Cake, here it is.
8. If you could meet any blogger right now, who would you choose and why? (Link them, so we can check them out too!)

Hahahahahahahahaa. There is absolutely no way I’m going to answer this question. The honest answer is that I would take my wand and sneakily summon ALL of my blogger friends and followers and acquaintances and have a humongous Shadowhunter party and invite you all. There’s the truth, then.

9. If your most anticipated book of the year came in the mail in very bad condition, and you had to send it back to the seller before they sent you another copy, would you just keep the damaged copy or wait for a replacement? Basically, imagine that you have to either return it that same day or keep it forever.

This depends on how long it takes to get a replacement. But see, I’m clever and awfully good at finding loopholes in questions like this. I would return it the same day, and instead of waiting for my mail to come back, I would simply go to the book store and get it in person, granted it’s not an ARC. And if I must wait for the replacement for too long, I’ll just order another that’s promised to come within a shorter time. See, I’m smart. Which is why I said I’m a Gryffindor with Slytherin fingers and such.

10. Do you have a favourite review that you’ve ever written? Why is it your favourite?

What? A favorite review? OKAY, let’s go with my Eleanor and Park review. That one was damn good. And now, just to make a witty remark, I’ll tell you something. If you had asked me what was my most pathetic review, I would just scoff and tell you off. Yes, I’m that wonderful.

11. Name your top two favourite authors of all time. If they were both doing author events on the same day, at the same time, which would you choose to attend?

J.K. Rowling, my all-time favorite, and currently Sarah J. Maas. I would choose to attend Rowling’s event because she lives in Europe, while I live in the States and so it’ll be hard to get another chance to get an event with her, where Maas lies around in the states, so I can always send one of my munchkins to ask all my questions for me, get a photo with her, have her sign my books, record the event, and attend it. Absolute brilliance. But this is such a good question that I ask YOU, what’s YOUR answer? Hm?

Screen Shot 2015-12-31 at 2.27.38 PM

My Questions:

  1. Imagine Santa Claus isn’t coming to town this year? Who’s going to take the liberty of getting gifts for everyone and putting them under the tree and why?
  2. Imagine your library/bookstore member card and your Netflix/TV account are about to expire for the last time, and you can only replenish your membership on ONE, which one would you choose?
  3. If you were repainting your room/house/dorm, then what color(s)/palette would you choose to use and why?
  4. Through your time at Hogwarts, if you got to CHOOSE what professors you got for which classes, say they’re all experts in them all, who would you choose for Potions, Transfiguration, Defense against the Dark Arts, and Herbology?
  5. Where is the one spot on the world you would want to be right now and why?
  6. When you have a family reunion, how do you make special memories?
  7. Who are you supporting in the 2016 USA race to the White House? Why?
  8. What was the best thing you did in your holidays?
  9. Would you rather live in a boat for the rest of your life or would you rather live in a forest tent for the rest of your life?
  10. What is your favorite season and why?
  11. What is a dessert that you can make easily, or was the first one you made? And what is a dessert that you WISH to make some day?

The majority of the people I was going to nominate have already been tagged or have already done this award, so if you haven’t than go ahead and DO it, because I’m going to nominate everyone who hasn’t done this tag, whoever’s being ironic like me and doing it in the Winter, and whoever’s down in the Southern hemisphere having Summer as well.

Screen Shot 2015-12-31 at 2.27.38 PM

Whoo! I’m going to do a Sunday Rantings on Clockwork Angel, which I just finished. No doubt that book needs extra display and angelic treatment. Get it? Angelic? Shadowhunters? Angels? Oh, phooey, I LOVE Tessa Gray because she’s not Clary. Clary doesn’t do much except for scream like a baby and Tessa can use her brain to get out of stuff! For example, the Magister at the end of the book!!! Also, I was suspecting that it wasn’t __ _______ and instead the Magister was __. ________. AMAZING BOOK!

Have any of you done this award? leave me a link! do you agree with my answers? do you disagree? why? are you having winter or summer right now? what did you get for XMAS? and finally, are you ready to start 2016 or what?Screen Shot 2015-11-30 at 8.14.59 PM

One Lovely Blog Award #2

Hi everyone! I’m here with another blog award and I have to say that I’ve got some other tags and awards drafted but I know there are more that I didn’t create a draft for yet that I was tagged/nominated for, but I’m hunting them out!

How are you lovely human beings anyways? I am always far too caught up in answering your comments, reading other blogs and reading in general, and getting my work done! It seems I am always WAY WAY too caught up in something so HOW ARE YOU. I CARE. I REALLY DO AND I LOVE ALL OF YOU SO HOW ARE YOU, HUH?

I’m a happy camper for the most part since my Thanksgiving dinner came and went on 11/18 at a church center with friends and some and the dinner was amazing. The DESSERTS were, holy moly, heaven. I had two shot glasses full of creamy chocolate mousse with whipped cream decoration and a big slice of lemon meringue pie and it was my first time, and that pie is my new favorite.

Anyways, since I am making this too long to start off with, I’m just going to further move it on so that we don’t spend too much time halting right here in the road. And the traffic guard is screaming at me at the top of his lungs. I think he should join choir.

I was nominated by the loveliest of all lovelies, Jenna!! Jenna runs a very pretty blog, thorough, loving, interesting, entertaining, and it’s definitely always been one of my binge reads that I read whenever I’m bored. So thank you Jenna! And go follow her, please. Click here to go to her blog!

  1. My favorite candy is Reeses’ Peanut Butter cups/bars/mini chips- I love this so much and Halloween hits home jackpot
  2. I got a new haircut and my hair is shoulder length and I love it! I actually donated my hair, 12 inches, and it feels so strange! I was brushing my hair, and it stopped at my shoulder and I’m so used to waist-length hair and I was like “I have more hair to brush! Where is it??” 😀
  3. I worked on an oil pastel artwork today- I am not an artist or anything, I was doing some fun and learning some through making artwork. Plus, I felt like doing something with oil pastel.
  4. I am conflicted in who to support in the 2016 presidential debate of the US. I’m not a big Trump person (not at all), and I don’t know about Hillary….what do you say?

Liebster Award

And the day I change my blog theme I get nominated for a wonderful award. Could the day possibly get any better?

Anyhow, the Liebster award has been something I’ve seen since I started my blog and I always thought “man! What does liebster mean?” To answer all of you guys’ questions who never actually questioned the name of the award, this is what it is:

  • It has German origins – the word “liebster” has several definitions: dearest, sweetest, kindest, nicest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, welcome, sweetheart and boyfriend (really?)

And I got that from: Wording Well

I don’t actually know if that is a WordPress blog, but it is a blog and also, the liebster award only runs through the internet, given blogger to blogger, or in my booksy language, bestie to bestie. 😀

Let’s get on the award!

THANK YOU DEE @THE BOOKISH KHALEESI FOR NOMINATING ME! GIRL, YOU ROCK! DEE HAS AN EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT BLOG AND I THINK THAT YOU GUYS SHOULD GIVE IT A LOOK! Alright, now that I’ve stopped taking advantage of poor caps lock and started acting more mature, let’s start.

This award is given to smaller bloggers to help gain recognition and also bring the book community closer together.

The rules for the award are:

  • Acknowledge the blog that nominated you and display the award.
  • Answer 11 question that the blog gives you.
  • Give 11 random facts about yourself.
  • Nominate 5-11 blogs you think are deserving of the award that have less than 200 followers.
  • Let the blogs know you have nominated them.
  • Give them 11 questions to answer.

What series would you like to reread for the first time?

HARRY POTTER! Sorry, Dee, I have to steal your answer. I read Harry Potter when I was little and loved it ever since. Anyone reading Harry Potter for the first time is an experience I will forever be jealous of. When I first read the books, I read them all out of order because I was a snob who wanted to seem all Harry Potter-y with her friend, and so, I read the Order of the Phoenix first, then #2, #4, #7, #1, #3, #6. So my experience wasn’t exactly all perfect and all. Then the 2nd time I read it, I read it with my friend and started with the Goblet of Fire because that was her favorite.

What’s a book you have on your book bucket list?

TBR? I have to read the Throne of Glass series because EVERYONE is talking about it and I feel like I’ve been missing out on a lot. The thing is, I picked up Throne of Glass, like, two weeks ago, but then I put it down, because the book was just so big and daunting and tall and the font was super teeny weeny and I was just like “how do I read this?!”. This time when I pick it up, I push my feelings aside like I will push through the book.

Where do you like to read the most?

Somewhere quiet, like my bedroom, or maybe the library.

Whats a goal you have that you would like to accomplish?

A goal I have is to become an athlete. I am incredibly smart and I excelled in studies all the way and I’m on top in everything smarts, but athleticism? Sports? Physical games? I flinch from a speeding ball in the air. Literally. So don’t get me as a wimp. I’m just not very gifted in physical activities. I mean to say, I have never trained or played a sport on a team or for fun or taken classes for it, so I’m not really good at playing sports. Soccer, sure, basketball, even better, but something like softball, or tennis, I can’t hit a straight ball with a racket or throw a good ball. Except for maybe a jumpshot. Anyways, I started on a local volleyball team and I think I’m actually getting better! Woohoo me!

Whats your favorite book of 2015 so far?

This is a hard question. How on Earth am I supposed to choose just ONE? I’ll try my best and say Champion by Marie Lu, for which my review is linked right here. I cried so much after I finished the book. Not to mention throwing it across the room. But Champion is my baby, my paperback copy is everything to me.

Favorite book cover?

It hasn’t been published yet, it will be published in March of 2016, but my favorite book cover has to be THIS PERFECTION:

Whats a book genre you would like to read more of?

Contemporary novels. I am so deep in fantasy and sci-fi and all of that great YA stuff, but I need to read more contemporary. Like Eleanor and Park. Yes, I haven’t read it. Please don’t throw anything at me.

Whats your favorite food?

Ugh. More favorites? No, I’m kidding. I’m a picky food person. I really like Subway sandwiches. They are delish. Hands down. And I love potato chips (not a lot), and crispy cookies with milk. BUT, in the end, this goes straight to fro-yo! FRO-YO my soul.

Favorite social media?

I don’t do social media. Sorry. Am I killing your buzz? It took a lot of courage just to make this blog, but no worries, I love it so much! I am not really one of those ‘social media’ people. If I have to say something, I would say G+ because I join a bunch of communities like Legend lovers and Harry Potter and Percy Jackson and Hunger Games. So ya. That’s fun.

Dream job?

Astronomer/Radiologist (yes I know you’re like HEY! VEDA WILL YOU LEAVE BOOKS BEHIND?? No, I plan to keep something as a hobby, e.g. books, writing, and I want to have a career in something else)

What fills you with happiness? What are the things in this world that bring you the most joy?

I don’t know what sort of question this is. Seriously. WHO IN THE WORLD IS NOT GOING TO ANSWER BOOKS? Isn’t that sort of why us book bloggers are here? So, anyways, if I have to give an answers besides books (in order to, you know, make this question different than every other nominee’s questions), I would like to say that my favorite feeling in the world is to finish writing a (pre-publishing) novel. When I was younger, I just wrote for the fun of it. I wrote my own manuscripts and edited them without knowing what great writing practice that was.

The first book I wrote ever, in Microsoft Word*, was this story called Naya the Nature fairy. I was obsessed with fairy books at the time, and so I wrote a story about a Nature fairy. When I finished that, it could never compare to anything. Sure, it was a tiny 100 pages, but then I was so happy that I actually finished it! Now I’m working on something else and it’s come up to 250 pages. And there’s so much left in the story plan that sometimes I have to groan and yell at my brain when I’m feeling down.

*What do YOU guys use to write your own books/stories if you do? Have you ever written one? Do you enjoy writing?

These things are always like, say facts about yourself and here I am, going, WHAT MORE DO I HAVE GOING ON IN MY LIFE THAT IS INTERESTING ENOUGH?!

Anyways. Ahem.
